My name is Alexandru Poteca and I am an artist who does things in the field of sculpture, installation and design. Applying another layer of information on objects which are already aesthetically or emotionally loaded, that’s already an old habit of mine. Next hand design involves collating natural leaves and flower petals or old Romanian newspapers from the 70s and from the 80s, or even fresh Indian ones, strategically combined with golden and copper leaf, on ready made objects
The visual qualities of next hand designed objects, resulted from the chromatic richness of the plant world associated with the elegance of gold or warm embrace of copper are even further enhanced by their unique texture and the intensified by the geometry of nature or history. All materials I am using, including the adhesive lacquer are ecological.
